That used to be the style back in the 80's and early 90's.

Yeah, I remember those when I was a kid. Wasn't that when the big rollover issue came about? Seems like that rig is a pretty big roll hazard. I can tell you that its definitely going for more than 15K.

Seems like a fairly good build.  Just replace the springs and get some smaller tires and it would be ready to go.  Those tires by themselves would probably pay for the lowering.

You would have to do a lot more then that.  Those a probably 4" lift springs which is why the transfer case is now sitting well below the frame.  Honestly, I'm not sure what you could do with it.  Part it out would probably make the most money.

In the late 80's, early 90's it would probably have been featured in a magazine like Fourwheeler or Petersons 4Wheel & Offroad.

That's my kind of red-neck donk right there  :wall:

Am kind of partial to fuel injection, supercharged or not though.  And maybe change her to 35"-39"s.   With that smaller tire setup and the 5:13s and that engine, it probably wouldn't be too slow.

Ha, you probably need a second job one day a week just to afford gas for it as a weekend driver. I highly doubt that it even sees dirt or mud.

They were never meant to be DD's.  Just weekend toys and even then, they weren't used that much.  Mostly taken to car shows.  They were never really used off road much.  The suspensions were usually too stiff.  Instead of using properly valved multi-shocks they used single shock applications or else drilled out some so they would have more then 2 and not have them dampen.
