I have friends in the old Porsche business, they spend well north of 3500 on a title, then they buy all repro parts and "restore" the car, which then sells for 60 to 80 K.. I see room in that for profit... :)

The Fed's have been cracking down on those who do that.  Some big names have been shutdown because of it in past years.  Seems to be a fine line.

Yea, they are careful to keep enough of the original car to keep the VIN clean.

The good thing about a 356 is like a bug the pan is tough, down the center so
you replace the floors, and keep the trans hump and that carries the vin number.

I'd love to have one they are really fun to drive...

My opinion, it's kind of a stretch to call it complete when a good-sized portion of the nose is completely rotted away... and either I'm colour blind or that black interior is white (and rust).

Im not sure you would have any car left after you got done sand blasting that, it would probably become a convertible with spots in the floor for your feet to go so you could fred flinstone it down the road  :weee:
