Here is something to think of, if there is a fair amount of side play on the c clip axles it could push the caliper piston back on the 8.8 axle then you need a lot of fluid to push the piston back out to the point where it clamps the brake pads again.
If that is the case a master cylinder with larger pistons would help mask the problem

you're probably right, that makes total sense.

to expand to that, can also happen if your front bearings go out of whack (same idea or even worse maybe)).

Look at the SJ pitman arms when you get to that point, they're relatively flat and longer hole to hole than YJ arms.  I needed the longer pitman arm for the proper steering ratio with my BTF steering arms.

that was a brain fart, the jeep ones are also floating (they are one side piston so they have to be).
