Topic: Rancho RS9000XLs for a YJ 4" lift

I am looking for the part numbers for front and rear. Checked with Ranchos catalogue and they do not have anything listed for more than a 2.5" lift for a YJ. I am wondering if anyone here can help me out.

I want to go with the adjustables.

I have a 1994 Jeep YJ with a 4" RC lift.

You will need to determine the extended and compressed lengths that you need.  If you don't find exactly what you need, get the closest you can but making sure the shock does not limit compression since this can cause damage to the shock mounts.  I've seen Rancho catalogs that show the lengths and end types.  You might also consider getting the shock mount adapters that allow you to run eye-eye shocks in front.

I called Rancho and asked and was given the answer of "I don't know". The front shock doesn't mount due to is nut-style mounting. I then told him that I could get new mounts that would give me the standard eyelet, but it would be +7 inches in total and he gave me an "I don't know", again.

I like the idea of the in-cab ajustments, but if I can't get a pair of front shocks, there is no point in worrying about it.

The specification chart here is what you will need to research.  I'm pretty sure they will have something that will work for you.  The eye-eye adapter will make it much easier to find.

I'm running 4.5" of SUA lift with some front shocks that are 17.42" compressed and 30.46" extended (I think they might limit droop a bit).  Rubicon Express had some that were 18 and 32 for the same lift so that should give you some idea of the needed lengths.
