severly burned on friday
« on: October 02, 2011, 08:54:49 PM »
well had Melissa's lower radiator hose burst off the radiator, dumping about 3.5 gallons of hot antifreeze on me. got rushed to ER where they told me i had 1st and 2nd degree burns on about 20 percent of my body. mainly on chest and arm but also got some on my neck and nose also. so tomorrow i have an appointment with tampa general hospital burn center to get reevaluated and probably go under knife to remove extra skin that is clumped.

im on a pain killer an couple antiboitics.

just sucks because i have a lot to do with the heep and running out of time before jeeptoberfest. amd now i have to worry about infection   :rage:

geez, that looks painful. hope you're ok - keep it clean esp the areas where your skin came off (i'm sure they told you that already).

how did it happen, were you under the vehicle  or under the hood working on it and it burst?

I know you're miserable but thank goodness your eyes are okay.

Thanks for sharing this, I'm sure most of us take working around a hot Jeep for granted.

Wow,   I hope you heal quickly.  Things like that happening under the hood are taken for granted by many people.  It can be a dangerous environment under the hood.   Good luck.

Good luck with your recovery; take care of those wounds, or they WILL infect, and THEN you will be in DEEP S#!T...  Kind of an eye opener that working on a Jeep (even when you are not even TOUCHING it) is not 100% safe and we need to be careful!

In the first pic you're :yuno:  Then in the last you're  :fap: with the burn cream on.  Heal quick.
