It's time for changes...
« on: May 08, 2012, 06:44:38 PM »
Ever since I put the 9" in the rear and new tranny/etc, I have done hardly anything to my poor YJ  :'(
Routine maintenance is about it really...
I'm sick of seeing it so sad, spending it's life at my work every day with so much unused potential. I'm feeling more motivated to get sh!t done and get it where I want it to be...

I know a guy who has an almost new Detroit for $250  As much as i don't want to be locked 100% of the time in the rear, I can't go wrong for the price. I've seen the locker, felt it, inspected it, it's well worth the small price tag. New 31 spline shafts must be accompanied with it too, since my current ones are the stock 28 spline and the drivers side is sliiiightly bent  :pirate:

Suspension wise, I dunno what the hell I want to do... Part of me wants to go SOA, but then I don't want to deal with axle wrap. Not that it's a big deal to manage, but if I'm going to add an anti-wrap and everything else AND have to get all new leafs, shocks etc I would highly consider linking the rear and doing a SOA front. I've still managed to run every bit of terrain I've put my rig through running my current SUA set-up, so maybe I should just focus more on drivetrain at this point?

I'm, just rambling really. Haven't been on here for a long time, and haven't messed with my Jeep for an even longer time. I just need to motivate myself to get sh!t done on it again. thanks for reading my nonsense  :driving:

A rear locker is the most bang for the buck.  That's my recommendation.
