Topic: Proper driveline angle?

I have a '95 YJ with a SYE kit installed and JE Reel double cardan drive shaft. I think that the guys who set up my axle (re-positioned my spring perches) got the driveline angle wrong... There is zero angle between the shaft and the diff housing. Shouldn't there a smidgen of down angle, maybe 2 degrees or so? A friend says that with zero angle the axle will twist into the positive angle (high versus low) under load, which is bad bad bad. Any advice?

ideally should be the way you have it set (in-line) but like you say a bit under is probably safer but i don't think it's a big issue unless you have excessive axle wrap (like an SOA with stock leafs which are very soft). My opinion, Art or Bounty are more versed with this so maybe they'll chime in with some pointers.

 You should be fine as long as you have no vibes on the highway.

You would have to have tons of axlewrap on the trail for it to be an issue.

My SUA YJ has the pinion 3 degrees up, not ideal but it seems to be fine both on and off road.  If you are SUA, it will work fine.
