Open ocean rescue
« on: March 13, 2013, 07:57:42 PM »
This is footage from the rescue of one of my Union brothers. 200 miles from the coast, rough seas, and Coast Guard divers with a hell of a pair of balls. Work at sea is dangerous, your entire life can change in the blink of an eye...

Always Made fun of the Coast Guard Since I was A Marine.  Then I saw them in Action Doing a rough water rescue off the coast of Oregon.  Making fun of them stopped.  Seen them just for Practice roll their Boat in rough water.  Sure the Boat is made to do just that, you just never know how long you will be under.

Yeah, he got banged up pretty bad and had to be air lifted to the hospital. He's doing better now, recovering and should be back to work in the future.

Grumpy, we make fun of the coasties too, but when the Sh*t hits the fan, they are our 911 (if we happen to be in range).
