Topic: possible market for Lower alternator bracket made of steel?

ive only seen the lower alternator bracket for a low of $65, and thats still insanity, im not paying $65 for that garbage aluminum

i have a steel bar holding the alternator in place from the front, a few ppl claim i wont need to brace it from the rear because the top bolt holds it steady, but i may make one for the rear just to play it safe, either way im sure the steel bar im using now is much better to use than the piece of 2x4 i was using

Have a pic of how you fixed it?  The upper bolts are more inportant since they support the weight and some of the tension.  Though the lower bolt hold some tension as well.  Really though as long as the alternator is in a fixed position it doesn't matter since the belt is adjusted elsewhere.

this is only temporary, i mean, its only a work truck so it may just stay that way, but i may get my hands on an original to fabricate something nice that isnt so visible

The tip of the steel looks like it would be too close to the belt, but its not that close, about as close as the belt is to itself between the  ilder pulley and water pump pulley
