I used to be Jeep 24/7 until a year and a half ago when I picked up a 4cyl Ranger. Gets amazing mpg. Originally got it after we bought our house to run to Lowes and Home Depot and to the dump as well. But given the mpg, i find myself driving it a bit more. However, given the fact i ship out to sea for a living, i dont really need a daily driver.

Well... looks like a may be bidding on a new car this week possibly if all works out.

2009 Audi S5 with 50k on the clock...... boo ya.

Then replacing the wife's 2006 Honda Odyssey with an Audi Q7.

The two oldest boys both drive Jeep Grand Cherokees.

And then there's the 1973 Triumph TR6 that is still down in VA...supposedly my next "project.".  :yikes:

Well, It's been forever since I've posted.   :uhoh:  My auto transmission went out on my Jeep about 2 or 3 months ago.   :'(  I bought a '96 F150 5spd/6cyl.  I'm pretty happy to have one of the last inline six Fords.  My mpgs aren't bad for a full size, either.  However, since its my first stick it is taking a lot of getting used to having more pedals than feet.  :puzzled:  I still crank my Jeep every now and again.  Thankfully the last tank full of gas I put in her was crapahol free.  And I added some Stabil for good measure.  I guess the Jeep is officially a 'toy' now.

Wow, that's pretty risky going all Audi.  Are you going to get the Carmax warranty on them?  I've heard it's great for off-warranty European cars.

I was reading on Jalopnik that CarMax has a really good warranty that basically makes something that could be expensive endevour something pleasant.   Still not sure if I'd buy an Audi though.  Owners tend to be douchbags.  :wall:
