Missing

My '95 YJ has trouble starting in summer weather (long cranking period), and when it does finally fire up it smells very rich.  It also is miss firing when I accelerate.  Starts right up in the winter and runs fine.  Are there any temperature sensor that are related to fuel air mixture ratio?  I was thinking about running a hotter coil with a larger gap in hopes to just burn everything that is sent into the engine.
