I had my Jeep in a few years back, before the extended warranty ran out for some piddily stuff.
The 4wd light didn't/doesn't come on when it's supposed to, and I had some other thing that I can't recall now going on.
So I had it in at the stealership for the work. I sat and waited for an hour while they looked it over. The CSR comes out and says that they took care of the piddily thing I forgot about, but they couldn't figure out the 4wd light.
They could look into it further, but they'd charge me shop time. So since I wasn't worried about the light, I tell the guy to not worry about it.
He tells the tech, and a few minutes later they drive my Jeep into the waiting garage, and let me go.
I get in, and the whole dash board is torn apart yet! Not just the radio HVAC panel either, but the whole freaking thing!!
I drive out dumbfounded, go around the block to cool down, and pull back in.
I flagged the first employee I found down, and asked her if that was normal. She's like "what's normal?", so I explained that the dash was put together when I got there.
To wrap up the story, I got five or six free oil changes out of the debacle, but I never used them. I'll be damned if I'm going back there.
