You guys down south don't know how lucky you are with gas prices.  I filled up my YJ last night and it cost $65 @ $1/liter up here in Alberta

That's $58.35USD for 17.17 gallons.  I only filled up 15 gallons.  So if I added 2 more gallons it would be $52.  I should also mention that I found the cheapest gas station around.  It's normally around $3.29 which brings it to $56.46 for 17.17gal.  We're not saving much.   Oh yeah, this is for 87 octane.  Plus or Permium would be much more.

Hmm, it's settled off out here.  Although when I was down in Socal last month a gas station is Coronado was selling gas at $4/gal.

SE Wisconsin has gone from 2.90 to 3.13 in the last few weeks and now that we're on the "summer formulated" gas my mileage has dropped.

I split the topic off from the other thread...

I still remember only 3 years ago gas being $1.55 out here.  All this uncertanty with the middle east and China is playing havoc with gas prices.

Not to mention in the US we have something like 18 different blends across the board.  They really need to standardize gas so it's the same for the majoriety of states, I think.  This would help with the shortages in some states at least.

i just filled up with 87 for $2.65/gallon today

it could be worse

if we cared about gas prices that much we'd sell our jeeps and buy economy cars... but we don't... so we don't....

Some of us own both. I have a 86 toyota p/u 4 banger 5sp at 28mpg. It just means more driving of the rustbucket while the Jeep sits.

Which still sucks...

I'm driving my economy car while the Jeep sits parked too...  So sad :(

I filled up with 89 octane (2nd one up) at $3.12 a gal...  9.97 = $31.20, at about 23-25 mile per gallon, I'm not complaining... loudly.

if you are complaining what should we say? the price is 1.35 € per litre!!! wich makes it around 7 € per gallon. Its the reason why our cars mostly have engines between 1 and 2 litres.
The good news is that shortly they will introduce a new tax on suv and 4x4, yes i live in great country!

You mean you're happy to be getting taxed more because you own a jeep?

That makes sense.

Diesel out here is more expensive then regular.  It's around $3.25.
