The Header outlet is 2.25.

OK Here is what I would like to find out. Will the Banks Down tube for the 4.0L  Part#51307 Which is in the same year as my 2.5L Fit . Has anybody tried this Header, down tube Combo. I really need this to work with or without modification. I and going for complete banks tubing & cat-back system. What is the 4.0L dia.tubing.

4.0L tubing should be the same diameter.  I had my downtube custom made for about $40 to go in front of the oilpan sump and clear the starter.  Needed the ground clearance over the OEM setup.

Well I emailed and Called Banks Power Tech and Asked them and I am still waiting for and answer . Over 2 week now  :(  There is a black mark on there record.

I went and had a section of 2 inch tube stretched and flared than I welded it on, so it would smooth the flow in the 2 inch tube than is on my Jeep. Reason being after i stalled the Banks Header the Flare that was on my down tube was to small to fit the header right to I rig one up last year but was alittle too micky.

Bounty you are Right I did find out that the bank Down tube is In fact 2.25. The cat mounting should be the same on both 2.5L & 4.0L jeeps. My concern is the Header Exit position  and how close they are. Reason is I don't have a Gas bottle for my MiG welder so I can't weld Banks 406 stainless if i needed to fabricate the fitment.
The Down tube is about 100 dollars and I sure hate to buy it and Have the problems to solve without right tools to make it work.

The mandrel bents on the Banks Looks so sweet, Local exhaust plumber Don't have a mandrel bender so Local custom exhaust is not the best way to go.

So does anybody make a Mandrel bent down tube in stainless or aluminum coated steel for the 2.5L wrangler?

I'm no help on the mandral bending thing, or the Banks customer service and diameter...   I'll I can do is attach a photo of mine.

I am running a pacesetter header and it ran right underneath the oil pan.  By looking at this picture you can see how beat the oil pan is.  If the crossover pipe was still there, it too would be smashed.
