The fix was just as a suspected, the catalytic was bad and with a new on I passed emissions.
So after I finished the emissions, I drove to vehicle registration.  $75.00 later I have brand spanking new plates and tags!  I sped back to work (cuz I could ;))  

I was soo excited to bring it to work today.  It's odd, there are a few newer employees who didn't even believe that I owned one.  It's been about 4-5 months since I actually drove it to work.  So now they believe I have one.  

Next thing to do is wheel it.  Since it's legal, it's time to break stuff.


They probably thought you bought it that way... :ass:  :blbl:  :beer:

The funny thing is, now that I've got registration...  I'll still illegal...

No mud flaps, tires too wide, no front license plate (yet, since I just got new one's, I'll but one on the roller fairlead)...  Let's see, if they wanted to they could probably get me for bumper height.

This excludes what they would have really pulled me over for...  Speeding, failure to signal, driving to close, excessive noise...   :roll:

not quite...   the front is 3/4" wider per side because of the hub conversion, the wheel offset is a bit more than normal.


the rear is an uncut 9", measures about 62"...  so I stick out about an 1" to 1.5" per side (front & rear)

Looks like you could probably run some stock BS wheels with that much room.  My flares are a inch wider then what you've got but I still want to bring them in more so I can go back to some stock flares.

Wow, here in WI we are legelly allowed 2" of exposed tread and I've never heard of anyone getting pulled over even with no flares. Guess it's a redneck state thing.

Check out the laws in PA.  They have a limit on their fenders to 3" and the tires can't be exposed.  I think WA has similar laws with the flares but they aren't enforced as long as their covered.  In CA and HI, the tires must be covered.  You can usually get away with 1" in CA but in HI, you'd get a ticket.  In CA depending on where you are they might not enforce flare laws at all.  There are guy's who run no flares but they aren't usually daily drivers either.    If you run really wide tires and don't have coverage you can usually get by with adding mud flaps which look really bad.  Most guy's make them removable with a quick disconnect.  I don't really like the look of wide flares but I don't like rock chips in my windshield from other trucks either.

lol all this talk about mud flaps reminds me of last night i had to pick up my dads Rubicon from the shop(man does that thing have power) i had a friend drop me off and he was fallowing me home and when we got to my house he said i need mud flaps cuz i was flinging rocks on his car... :roflol: .. id never put mud flaps on a jeep mud flaps are for trucks...

Funny you should say that.  In AZ, you can run open wheeled on a Jeep but you'd need mud flaps on a truck.
