It has begun... and it doesn't look half bad.

This one is from Burnsville Offroad.

That's a Hemi V8 in there.  And those are 37" Krawlers.  I think it looks great.  I'm impressed how nice the JK Unlimtied looks built up actually.

The hood height had decreased since the CJ.  The YJ is a little lower up front and the TJ is a low lower.  Not to mention, they change the rake of the windshield to make the body more aerodynamic.  I think lowering the hood is a good thing.  It sits pretty high as it is.

As for the 4drs.  I used to love the looks of the Concept Dakar.  It looked great.  Even with 4doors.  When you get older and you've lived with 2dr Jeep for a long time, you wish more a bit more room.  A second set of doors makes life a lot easier for those who ride in the back.  Especially if you're not a contortionist or a kid.  After seeing what they can do, with the new JK, I have to say, I like it.  Although would I ever buy one, probably not.  If I was going to have only one vehicle, I'd consider it though.  Wow, that really makes me sound old doesn't it?

we've had 2 door and 4 doors at my dealership already and i have to say the rubicons don't look bad stock.  by the way that looks like a 6.1 hemi and the are pricey plus not readily available.  the srt8 is the only jeep that sports that bad boy.

Good eye, it's a 6.1L.  A bit overkill for anyone but sure is bling.  Good for a shop trying to get it's name out there.  Are the stock tires really around 32"?  That's huge and would explain why 37's look to be about the size of 35's.

id say the best thing about a 4 door rubicon is renting them.... about once a jear my family flys into vagus and drives a rental jeep to daeth vally for a few days.. and we couldnt fit all our stuff in a regular wrangler so the 4 door should be good for that..
