New to the forum, somewhat new to true 4wheelin. For work, I off road nearly every day.
This is my 1st Jeep, 95 unconventional “Mator”. Our rust bucket is now drying out in Arizona with its No Trespassing Sign for a floorboard. Always thought my unlocked vacuum actuated Jeep on monster shackles for a lift was an unstoppable rock crawling machine. Until Version 2.0, 3.0, 4.0…..kept happening.
Current configuration 100in wb, 5.38’s, Front GM12 bolt, differential now on driver side, sleeved, spooled, Rear GM10bolt chromoly shafts Detroit locker, 37x16.5 for the street, 40x17 Maxxis Trepador for play on steelies, 4-wheel disc, revolver shackles front & rear, SOA, SYE, Superlift leafs, shackle reversal with the front mount incorporated into bumper, Tie rod solid chromo bar stock, 2.5 with many miles. Cold air, headers, flowmaster, electric fans.
We use it for hunting, rock crawling, camping trips & of course it is my daily driver. It’s completely stable doing 70-80 but I am pushing it pretty hard & rarely in 5th gear. 5.38s are as tall as I can go. So the next step to regain a little more power is a 4:1 or Atlas. But that is a long term goal.
Next Version is to backhalf, 112in wb, 4 link, airshocks, custom fuel cell, hack up the rear floor, full cage, replace the front seats, traction bar on the front axle, lower the stance. Most of the parts have been purchased so it should become a reality. All I need is the time. My friend is a fabricator and is building some crazy near unlimited articulating joints. He has been using a set on his rock crawler buggy for a few years.
