Hey, I'm 95yjman, just signed up.  I bought a 95 YJ back in April, before that I owned a cherokee.  I'll put some pictures up of my YJ later! 8)

Hi, I've had my 2001 TJ for a year now.  I spend a bunch of time on the site, so I thought I'd drop in and introduce myself.

Hey,
Have a 97 TJ(manual), 32 BFG M/Ts, black steelies, 2" OME, 1" BL, AEM intake, Dynomax cat-back(just installed), T-Max 9000, electric fan, LoD rear bumper/tire carrier, Warn front bumper w/ TBT winch mount, sailcloth top, bunch of random other pieces here and there.  Rest of drive train is stock.  Bought her stock in 2000, my first purchased car/truck.  I pretty much have a cookie cutter red lifted TJ, but I love her.  I think my 03 WJ is jealous.

Handle is JMan.
I picked up a 92 Wrangler S a few years ago with the intention of rebuilding as a replacement for my motorcycle.
Eventually will have to make a permanent move from two wheels to four wheels and the jeep offers about the same sense of enjoyment.
More so when you take the top off and head down some dusty road.

Welcome!  I'm actually thinking about going the other way.  Although I'll be keeping the Jeep ('92).  It costs me $50 to fill up these days.

Hi All,

I have an 06 2.4 which is pretty much stock apart from some Hella FF1000's which I installed myself. I think its great to find a forum dedicated to the 4 banger, as most other forums rag on you for having one. I also have a 99 Cherokee which I love, but its more of the wifes vehicle. Cant wait to start upgrading my TJ and also hearing from other folks with our orphaned 2.4

Ok, we have surpassed our 100th member.  The forum gets people from all over the world but only a few are actually joining up.

So lets see some introductions from the new guy's on the forum.

I must be the oddball!  My jeeps are street jeeps, not off road jeeps, they are 4 x 2's not 4 x 4's!  I would love to turn my comanche into a really strong street machine, but ain't got them kind of bucks! Anyone like me out there? :puzzled:

Well to start off I'm from Texas around Houston.  I am not a gear head so I don't understand all the technical lingo out there, but I do my best.  I just like a good jeep that looks good also.  I currently own an 82 cj5 with an "iron duke" 4 banger in it (awesome motor in my opinion).  This is mainly a huntin rig.  I also own a 98 TJ with a 6 inch lift running 33x12.50 wrangler AT's.  Although I just purchased some 31x11.50 Trxus STS's, hopfully I get a little highway speed back.  Some of the other mods include cold air intake, throttle body spacer, stage II computer chip, and a high flow exhaust system.  I think my next purchase will be a high flow header and a head pipe.  If any body out there has any suggestions let me know, just remeber you might have to dumb it down a little for me to understand I am no where near mechanically inclined. 8)

Spent some time here about a year and a half ago when I aquired a '89 YJ.  Then I bought a '05 unlimited two door for a daily driver.  Traded that in on another company truck (really missed driving the Jeep every day) and now I end up driving the YJ about 50% of the time.  I am a contractor in Minnesota with little mechanical apptitude, however I am looking to improve the look and perfomance of the YJ, and actully am pretty exited about the project.  Problem is the more I have looked at the options being offered, the more confused I get.  Hoping gain insight and guidance from the all of the intellegent people here.  The YJ is totally stock at this time with about 85000.
