Looks good, keep us posted after a few uses. I am curious as well about the compressor. Being in MI may I suggest a winch cover. Salt is a bitch for us northerners.

If the compressor fails do you ship the whole winch back to Warn or can it be removed separately?

Four bolts hold on the upper cover...I had to remove them to attach the air hose.  It seems semi-conceivable that the compressor could be removed.  I would just have them replace the whole thing though and ship back the old one.

Wow...  That winch is Mondo-gorgous!!  Is the air compressor running off the same motor as the winch?  I'm guessing (if that's the case), the CFM's are pretty good too.

Next step is to plumb in some tanks, regulate it to about 100psi and tap in those Air Lockers!!

Very impressive Mark!  Congratulations!!

well...since you mentioned it...I'll mention the plan for the next two months (although I'll only be without my Jeep for a full week).

Turning it over to the guy who fabbed my bumpers (http://www.kozoffroad.com)and sold the winch to me.

*  Front and rear high pinion D60's (most likely with 4.88's, e-locker in back and ARB up front)

*  Custom LA suspension...probably 4.5"

*  Custom tube fenders...front and rear

*  Custom rocker rail...to look like Poison Spyder but will tie in nicely with the tube fenders.

*  35" TRXUS mt's on AR Chamber wheels (teflon coating to help the mud fall off)...these..

after all that the only thing left will be to figure out what engine I want to move this stuff around....I will continue to utilize the 4-banger until I can afford a new engine.

Actually, AEV is opening up shop here in MI to build the brute kit and should be able to do a HEMI conversion only 2 hours away.

that powerplant looks great but i have to ask, have you noticed any decline in performance due to the fact it covers almost all the air vents?

Nope....the grill is all radiator, so how would blocking it make a performance difference??

I just looked at the specs listed for the compressor, 5cfm at 90psi is some good flow. That definately is a nice winch  :thumb:  I wish i could afford one  :lol:

that thing is huge.  but i am still envious.  i'd watch that air coupler cover though it looks like an easy thing to bounce off and lose.

No problems with that as I can see...the cover is thick and has depressions on the sides so it litterally has to be squeezed into place.....it is also attached to the inside of the compressor area.
