My registration renewal is pending with California - have to get smogged.

I picked up a used stock airbox/intake tubing a few months ago to swap with my current intake setup (no comment about the smog legality on that). Now have to buy a paper filter.

Will be interesting to see how the 4 banger runs with the stock intake/paper filter back in. May find myself sticking with it.

Am self-quoting here (see above)  Bought this used air box from an unknown party.  Course, now, several months later when I am actually getting around to installing it (smog test) I find out that the intake tubing that would connect the air box to the TB is the wrong size - seller must have pulled from the wrong vehicle.

We're just talking tubing here, but I am a litte cautious about buying some accordian tubing at an auto parts store when  confronting a Cal. Smog Test.  Don't know if this would pass the visual inspection, so I wanted to go stock.

You guys have any luck with used Jeep parts shops out there?  Recommendations where I can buy the stock tubing part?

Was down there at Scotty's today.  Got the intake piece I needed - Thanks again, TallBoy, for the tip on that.  That place is great - has tons of nice used Jeep wheels, doors, hardtops, hoods, grilles, etc.  Apparently they do nice axle, gearing, lift and locker work, too.  It's only about 45 minutes away from Porn-Land (San Fernando Valley   ) and was definitely worth the trip.
