Looking to re-gear my baby. I am running 33x12.50 MT's with no plans to go any bigger and I have  a manual so 4.10 gearing now. This is my daily driver and it see's an average speed of 45-55  mph. I have been told that 4.88's are too low and I will be screaming if I ever go on the highway and try to hit 70mph however, the calculators don't make it look that bad.(just about 200 more rpms than 4.56) Anyone running 4.88's? How does it work out as a DD?

If you're going to spend the money on gears there is no point in going with 4.56's these day's.  For 33's you really want to be geared as close to 5.13 as you can.

Go with the 4.88, going 4.56 isn't enough of a change to warrant the time, labor, and expense.  According to most calculators you want to be close to 5.13 like Jeffy said, err on the side of being a little low to compensate for the added rotating mass.

Boy am I a virgin, I picked up "97" 2.5 TJ and just recently added some 31"s.  Would like to re-gear just to pick up more low range for some of the quail hunts here in AZ.  Any thoughts on some ratios for weekend trail roading?  Wife thought I should save my money (calls the TJ the money-pit) and buy a Rubicon, looked at some new jeeps this weekend, but to be honest, for what I need the TJ is just fine. 8)

You don't really need to regear.  Do the 4.0L TB swap and a K&N drop in filter (will cost you $150 at the most) and you'll get most of what you lost back.  I have 31" tires on mine and have no problems what so ever.  It doesn't need some help when in deep mud, or sand, but it'll keep up just fine in 4H.
