It probably wouldn't work with my misch products "big boy"  seat brackets and I can't drive without those. It costs almost 3/4 of what I paid for my Jeep.

I looked at the pricing and you're paying $9000 for the conversion to turn it into a truck THEN another $19xx to get the high fenders.  Then probably another $1000-2000 to get all the bumpers.  I really like the rear winch.

From what I read, the high fenders give you 3" of clearance.  Enough to run 37's with a little lift.

So you're looking at around $14,000.00 to get the conversion done.  That doesn't include axles either!

I could use this design for that CJ10A. Though the bed could be tucked a little more inward and have a high angle edge on top, similar to the M416.

It definatly has flare, catches your eye for sure.  Would be the only one arround town, just not sure if its worth the money...costs twice what im in my jeep now just for the conversion, now if money was not an issue than it would make one hell of a cool toy to add to a collection  8)

I'd love the extra room the truck bed affords.  But what I really like is the high fenders.  The added clearance would really be great.  That would be around 5-6" of clearance.  I like how the hood and fenders are more melded together.  It's not the classic Jeep lines but it's not a box either.  it is sort of what they did with the JK.

Ok, so I said it will cost $14,000.00 to get all of AEV's parts.  Then you're looking at another $8000-10000 for some D60's, if you want to do it right.  Budget $2000 for the lift, too.  Wheels and tires are another $1000-2000.  And that's not even including the Jeep.  Honestly, a Toyota solid axle conversion would be a better option and a fraction of the price.

You could do a high fender set-up yourself... its nicer on a TJ though since that piece behind the hood (whatever its called) has a nice body line to follow whereas YJs do not. I thought about doing the high fender thing a while ago, but i dont have the funds for the drivetrain to go with it... maybe in a few  years. I still hope jeep makes the gladiator (that was the truck right?) sometime soon. Once i'm out of college i would love that thign as a DD.

I think it would be difficult to make it look factory done though.  Notice how the fender is molded around the grill.  That would take some hammering to duplicate.  On the inside there is a ledge that is nicely done too.  Then you'd have to cut the hood a have a lip folded over.  AEV did a really nice job on the TJ and made a really distinct Jeep.  As for a Official Gladiator, I dount there will ever be one.  It competes too closely with the Dodge brand.  When Jeep was on their own, it was fine but now, there are too many in teh truck game already.  The Brute fills a small niche but it's for all practical purposes, the truck bed is way too small.

I agree if you were going to be leaving a stock fender set-up it would definately take some effort to have the end product come out as nice as AEVs (But when your broke, sometimes you can't afford perfection haha). There was that one autstralian guy (i think he was aussie) that did a really nice job A LONG time ago. I was going to do a tube fender set-up if i did it.... who knows maybe down the road after i recover funds and finish my current projects i may do it.

It would bring the cost down a bit that's for sure. I only paid $13,000 for my tj. $8995.99 is over my limit right now. It does look sweet though. ;)

You can get just the hood/fender kit; 'Highline Fender Kit' ! I believe iIve seen just the hood also, wouldn't be too difficult to raise the stock fenders & save some $$.

I could see spending the $1950 on buying an axle and setting it up then buying a fancy hood and fenders though.
