I own a 1994 Wrangler, and my headlights would turn off periodically. It was just the headlights, the parking lights and interior lights still were on. Usually if I cycled the headlight switch, they would come back on, but sometimes I would have to do it a few times. It got progressively worse, so I installed a new headlight switch. It seemed to work at first, but last night I hit my headlights, and they did not come on. If I pulled back on the high beams, they would come on as long as I held the dimmer switch back. I looked at the wiring diagrams in the Chilton's manual, and did not see any relays in the chain. The only conclusion I could come to is that the dimmer switch could be bad, seeing as it's the only other thing in the chain between the headlight switch and the headlights.
Does this sound right, and has anyone else had to fix this problem? If you guys can help "shed some light" on this problem, it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
