2" motor mounts

Does anyone have any experience with these https://shop.browndogindustries.com/displayProductDocument.hg?productId=32&categoryId=4 it doesn't have to be this brand but I am thinking about these instead of a 1" spacer.  The reason is I want to add one of these when I install the SYE http://www.getahelmet.com/bullet/33skid/  I have read that a 1" will be ok but I would like to use the 2" so that I can avoid adjustable upper control arms.  I got a 4" suspension lift and a 1" body lift and I would rather not have to use a CV style rear drive shaft.

I just installed a set of Brown Dog 1" MML on my YJ last week.  Def more vibrations but it allowed me to get rid of my xfer case drop.  I just notice the vibration a little more b/c the mounts are beefy and they use poly bushings.  These are very beefy mounts and high quality.  I had one question when I was installing them, I called up, they answered on the second ring and I got an answer right away.  Thats customer service.  Also a tip,  have about 1/2" thick of washers that fit on the MM bolt, you need to shim the passenger side.  Also they say in the instructions that you need to take off the drivers side MM bracket and grind it a little to get the bushing to fit.  I could not get some of the bolts out so I just took off about 1/4" to 1/2" if the bushing for the drivers side to get it to fit.  Second to last tip, soak everything in PB Blaster.  Ok last tip,  on the passenger side MM the MM sits on another mount that is then bolted to the frame.  You need to reuse that bottom mount.

Just a thought, but if you raise the engine 2" your possibly going to have clearence problems with the fan & rad shroud. You might have to go to an electrical fan if you plan on running your AC.

they are good to use when  u do a body lift.  my question is with the lift how did u elimnate ur xfer case drop with these, that would screw up ur driveline even more , the whole reason u drop it is too keep the ds angle small raising thenginend the tcase again would dfeat the pupose imo

Well I do have an electric fan so raising the motor will not affect that, and I have not installed the SYE yet.  That tcase skid adds 2-3" of clearance and with lifting the tcase it will really change the angle, so i figured 2" of motor lift would put it back around the same angle?

how you figure by raising that i'd think it'd make the angle worse??  just because you raise the motor it isn't gonna cock the t case like you think,  i dont think it will at least.  i think by doing that you are asking for more trouble.  anyone agree disagree?

Lanulos, take a pen or something similar and pick one end up, the other end points down a MML is not as drastic but does the same thing.  I know that the tcase skid requires a 1" MML and I read one install write up that they used 2" of lift to a better driveline angle but others have used the 1".  Really I was wanting to know if any one else had used a 2" lift they seem to be kinda new or at least old and unused.  I will most likely use the 1" and should be ok, the guy that used the 2" of space had a CV driveshaft and they seem to require a better angle than a standard driveshaft (non slip yolk of course).  To change the subject from MML to tcase skids does anyone have a tcase skid, got any info for me???

so i ordered the jks lift blocks put them in and took out my skid spacers, works like a charm sry i doubted you.  def reccomend it to people

Did you have to drill out the stud on the spacer, too?

I've used 1" MML's from www.goferitoffroad.com , good affordable product.  I've seen the 2.5L raised as much as 3", but I wouldn't raise that much weight that high up.

Did you check the review I did?  Was it helpful?  Using a drill press make the removal easy.

haha no didnt even think to look at the reviews  :rant:  . oh well i got the stud compltly out, oh and now i broke a record tore my motor mount in less that 48 hours
