well  i've had a motorcycle that was running 9s and and a 360 duster that ran 12s on motor alone. as far as what i yelled "this ain't a drag strip! kids live here so slow down!" i think is what it was. he had to be going at least fifty when he had to slam on the brakes and skid to stop by the light a house down from mine. in a 35 zone.

not that i have a problem with the turbos or superchargers or even no2 on a streetable car, it's just that when you get a kid whose parents or even him, (or her) buy too much car for their abilities it a dangerouis combo for all. i've lost freinds on drag strips and streets driving more then they can handle.

oh and his response to me "---- you! i can do want ever the (heck) i want! you old ----!" which i thought was funnier then a nun rolling down the stairs. i'm only 27. thats not old? is it?

Haven't any of you learned anything? Don't bash ricers when jeepmanmarc is here!  :stick:  How many cars can actually run 40 lbs of boost without detonating though?  an sti runs about 14 right?  a turbo viper with 800 hp runs about 8 right?  Just wondering.

You are comparing a stock STI that runs well into the 13's to be exact, to a MODIFIED viper, wtf?

What? No.  I was asking you a question, not comparing the two.  That would be a rediculous comparison.  I was wondering at what boost pressure you would want to start running an atmospheric bov.  I know a modified viper has nothing to do with a stock sti, I was simply saying they are both running forced intake and neither of them use an atmos bov.

You can run one at ANY psi, it does not matter, you have to understand that the only reason it affects some cars is that they arent properly setup to run with one, thats it, a few simple things and you can run a VW with 4psi with an Atmospheric BOV if you want, it doesnt matter how many psi of boost.

I think the real problem is that some people are either too set in their ways or closed minded or just don't know.  The word 'Ricer' is used too broad in most cases.  That's like saying calling all truck owners 'dumb hicks' or 'rednecks'.  The Ricer crowd is only a small portion of the whole import scene.  Yeah you get Ricers who put a body kit on their other stock Civic EX but then you'll also see Ricers who will out a body kit on their V6 Mustang.  Ricers aren't limited to Imports...  Luckily APC went out of business so there will hopefully be less junk on the market.  APC was the Steel Horse of the car world.

As for the Hennassey SRT-6 Grand, I think I'd rather spend the money on a Range Rover Sport.  I think even the AMG ML63 might still be considered in the price range.  If you want something really truck then go look at the VW Touareg CDI V10 with it's 553ft/lbs of torque.  All three of these have better interiors then the Grand.  It's like comparing a Subaru STI to a BMW M3 or a Porsche.  The Subaru is no slouch but when you get down to it, it's still an economy car.  Same things with the Grand.  The interior quality of most American cars isn't on par with Europe or even Japan in many cases.  Although some people don't car about looks as much and want a more pure driving experience.
