Track Bar & Rod End Fix
« on: April 21, 2007, 06:36:06 PM »
After finding my track bar making a clunking noise I began some research, it turns out to be a common weak point on Jeep and Dodge Trucks and is a common cause of front end death wobble. The problems made worse with lift kits which increase the angle at the frame mount point. Some lift kits provide a stronger adjustable track bar to keep the front axle centered as the vehicle is lifted such as Rubicon Express. The best track bars can be rebuilt by simply replacing the end joint. During my research I also uncovered a neat little gadget called lukeslink which rebuilds and reinforces the existing weak end joint. Below are some pictures of an end joint with Lukeslink. http://www.lukeslink.com/
