I have a 2001 wrngler the airbag light comes on and goes off intermittently no rhyme or reason sometimes it stays on other times it will go off after stopping and taking off and stays off.

just will make you crazy

I think that my 97 had a recall dealling with something like that, you could look into seeing if the 01's had one too.

My 96 VW golf did that, turned out to be programed to do that after so many miles so I would have to bring it in and get checked out... I told them to just turn the light off... Don't know if DC dose that or not.

I have that problem with my 97 TJ now! Seems to happen mostly when it is wet out! If I slap the top of the dash hard it will usually go out. I believe I read somewhere that the plug connectors on the back of the dash panel can become loose or corroded causing problems. Haven't had time to pull mine yet to check it out, but you might start there!!

we had that happen to our 97 grand Cherokee we read the codes and it said some spring was broken or something in the air bag...
1990 YJ 4cly, ax5, 2.5 inch BDS lift, 31 MTr\'s,  Powertrax-lockers all around, track-bars removed, boomerang shackles, warn m8000 winch, electric fan. [sold but not forgotten]
