IM getting a code 43.has anyone else had this by chance? The code list says misfire or something about voltage peak to low in dwell or not high enough in dwell.Doesnt seem to be misfireing except when cold but i think the stepper motor is causing that.It runs great when warm or if you just go when cold.Idles at 750 .Just not sure were to start looking. Thanks in advance.chris

43- Peak primary circuit current not achieved with maximum dwell time. Misfire detected in one or more cylinders 1 thru 6. (4 and 6 cyls.)

I would suspect a bad coil, bad distributor cap, or bad wires.  Sounds like time for a complete ignition tune-up, maybe the FirePower ignition kit from Performance Distributors.

Thanks bounty hunter.I  had just replaced d.cap wires and rotor button. I was thinking coil also but wasnt sure. This afternoon i did notice a slight (popping) in the exhaust going down the interstate and it idled back to 750 rpms kinda slow.I checked for vaccum leaks and found the hard line cracked from intake to front of valve cover.I was very suprised the computer picked up that but was really glad thats all it was.I must have done it when i put the  header on.Thanks a bunch for the reply.chris
