Crazy dome light
« on: December 05, 2007, 03:39:40 PM »
My dome light never worked since I got the Jeep. The P.O. removed the fuse for it. I'm assuming this was done so they could remove the doors. Two days ago I replace the fuse and now when I take tight turns the dome light flashes of and on. I was on a logging road going up the side of the mountain here the other day and the damn thing keeps flashing every time I hit a rut. Anyone have any ideas?

The switches that turn the light on when you open the door are grounds, I'm betting you have a bad wire thats shorting to ground.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I'm going to see if I can find the problem this coming weekend but I'm not going to kill myself trying to find it. If I can't locate it then the fuse comes back out.
