What is the difference between the YJ full doors and the TJ full doors?  I've never looked at a TJ that close and my curiosity has gotten the better of me.

I don't think thats a stupid question I have always wondered the samething myself.  And why won't TJ half doors work on a YJ?

TJ's have more angle to the windshield so full doors will not work on a YJ.  You'll end up with a gap in the leading edge.  Likewise, if you put YJ doors on a TJ, they will not close.

You can however interchange halfdoors as long as you change out the strikers and don't use an upper.

Did anybody see that article in JP magezine about putting a TJ soft top on a YJ and changing out the doors too.  It seemed like a lot of work.  Although folding down a TJ soft top seems easier then a YJs.  I'll be finding that out when it gets warmer. heh

Hey, that brings a question to mind.

How hard is it to swap out a soft top, keeping the original hardware? In [Quadratec] they make it sound so easy.

Another question I've been wondering, what kind of lube should be used on the soft top zippers? Anyone have any suggestions?

Very easy if it's a Replace-A-Top

I've never lubed soft top zippers but one thing that may work is bicycle chain wax lube.  It is a dry lube (goes on wet but then dries) that does not attract dirt.

Hmm never heard of doing that, I'll have to try that on my top's zippers.

Bicycle chain wax huh! Sounds like MX chain wax, which is good stuff. Can you get it at like Wal-Mart or...?
