Topic: AX-5 flywheel differences??????

HEY... quick question, what's the difference between flywheel's on ax-5's over the years? We just pulled the tranny to replace the clutch and were told that the flywheel was from a 91 and one inch too small for our 86! It's something like 12.25" while the 86 is "supposed" to be 13.25" (my dad didn't exactly remember what the guy said). Would this cause problem with the CPS? I'm concerned about this!

The CPS will not pick up the tone ring if the flywheel is too small.  Have to have the correct gap between the CPS and flywheel in order for it to work.

haha, thanks, but my dad and I figure the book the guy was looking at was listing an ax-15 flywheel... I don't know the size, but I know FOR SURE that a larger flywheel WILL NOT FIT on the ax-5, some "Experts" are just  's
