Topic: Which style of rear tow hook is better???

The oem one that attaches to your frame, or the other after market one which I am not sure where it is supposed to be attached too.

The top one.  The bottom ones are kind of hard to get a strap on since they are so small.

I agree, I like the top ones.  Not only will it hold a strap better but you'll also know when it's overloaded since they will straighten out a bit before they break.

I also just pulled the trigger on some cheap oem style front tow hooks, are those also going to be too small to get a strap on them?

The TJ ones are kind of small, but I don't really know of any good aftermarket alternatives - other than a good bumper with d-rings

That location always scares me, mostly because that is the section of a YJ frame that most frequently becomes dust.

He might want to check with any 4x4 store with a shop.  THey are typically removed from Chevy's and Fords when they add a lift.  They might just give you some.

If you're going to go the bumper route, you can just get a bumper with a 2" hitch.  Hitch point make good tow points since you can lock the strap into the high with the pin.
