parking break

it keeps coming up

it stays down for about 5 min and then comes off . what do i need to look at

Is this on a YJ?  There was a recall for the pedal assembly you want to ask about.
'95 YJ, 33 x 12.5 mud tires, RE 4.5 ED lift, Atlas 4 speed, rear D44, ARBs front and rear, 4.56 gears, 8000# winch

The reason why it pops is because the thing is flexing enough that the gear holding it releases.  I haven't replaced mine but then I take some care with it.  Although if yours pops all the time get it replaced before you find your Jeep in someone else's car.

I believe this covers 1990-1995 YJ's.  It's a safety recall and will be done free of charge.

I had mine replaced after I came out one winter morning after letting mine warm up for a few and found it in the neighbors front yard acroos the street. Luckily nobody happened to be there :yikes:

I thought somebody stole it at first because it was so dark that I couldnt see it across the street and I wasnt expecting it to be over there

Sometime I need to install one, my 8.8 did not work so well with the turdy 5 unit, and now my roll cage blocks e-brake. I have a pull break from a xj just need to fab it up so it works.

ya a while ago it rooled down my pals street and spashed threw some guys fence . luckly it stoped just befor it hit the house

yes it is a 93 . so i should be able to get it fixed for free?
where would i take it for that
