« on: July 21, 2008, 07:52:38 PM »
well i would really like to put lexan firewall and partial floors in my yj i have seen these in comp rigs and monster trucks, i have no heater box (i live in california) :bandit: in the way since i ripped it all out so why not i think it would be great (especially for roadkill) :spam: my problem is i have never done this, now i have some ideas but figured i would ask and see if anyone has a better idea or some experience in this situation so feel free to say whatever you want i like lots of input and once again thanks...............P III

I'd just cut a few panels out and replace them with lexan, keeping the solid metal integrity of the tub intact.

You won't be able to see through it for very long.  I ran a scratchproof lexan windsheild in my 2a for a couple years, even the scratch proof stuff gets pretty hazy.  Now add a ton of heat and engine guck.

well thanks for the input but my engine is pretty clean and really doesnt run that hot, not as hot as the monster truck and comp rigs i have seen it on anyway, but i will definately put that on the table when i get ready to do this and lexan really isnt that expensive to replace so i will make it removeable when the time comes but like i said before i really do dig all the input you guys give opens this big ol brain of mine up :bandit: so thank you very much for writing till next time.....................P III
