Topic: ohio offroad questions?

so i live in ohio and i was wondering what would be the best mods for me to do?
there is a lot of mud, not too much rock, mostly dirt, oh and more mud lol?
lots of trees as most offroading is done in the woods...

so i was wondering what kind of mods?
    -33x12.5 or 33x10.5
    -mud or all terrain tires?
    -winch?
    -body armor?
    -easy engine mods?
    -how much more lift? i have 2inch BB should i just go with 2in body and be done?

any help would be appreciated

also anyone know of any jeepin clubs around central ohio?
i am new at this so if there is a club around i would like to get involved b/c i heard they are good at helping us noobs lol

With a 2" BB I'd stick with 31x10.50's (hate the look of tires crammed into the wheel wells).  Mud terrain since you mentioned there might be some mud.  Winch.  Don't get  a 2" BL (1" maybe) if you need it.  Body armor is great but if its all mud then its mostly for looks and could be done later.  Also if you do get an appropriate lift and go with 33's you'll need to consider a regear.

Grrr, stupid edite rules!  Appropriate lift for 33's is 4" suspension.  Yeah you "can" get it done with less but in the long run you'll be happier.  33's don't make a Jeep badass much can be done with smaller tires!

33's and good driving will get you almost anywhere.  Yeah, bigger tires makes passing tough terrain easier, but they also put more strain on the drivetrain, which means either more things to replace (to make the drive train stronger) or more things that can break (or both).  And for 33's, 4" lift is recommended (at least for YJ's; not sure about TJ or JK).

I agree with the tires, but as a midwestern wheeler I think body armor is a must. Mud+trees=body damage. Most of the trails in Indiana are alot of tight turns and short,steep hills in the woods, not much margin for error, and I can't see Ohio being too much different.

X2....steering box is an easy one that is needed when you dive into those mud holes and you are not sure what is actually in there.  There is a lot of bottoming out here...engine skid and tank skid are always nice to have.
