I attempted this over the summer. Tore everything apart and cleaned it and replaced all the seals.
There are ball bearings that run a ball screw down the center. Getting the balls back in was a bitch.
Also, I spend a bunch of time getting it all back together. It ended up turning on its own to the right
no matter what. I had to really turn it hard to countersteer it to the point where I said F this and bought
a remanufactured one from advanced. I had a repair manual and thought I followed it to a T.
I guess sometimes it is just easier to buy a Remanufactured part than to kill a bunch of time rebuilding.
