Ok, I put on the springs from an 06 Rubi and new 5100 Bilsteins for the 3" lift.
So after we removed the old shocks which were RE from the BB and looking at the new bilsteins the RE shocks are much beefier and are the same length! So my ? is are the shocks they use for the BB the same as they use for there 3.5" lift as well? I was debating about just putting back the RE shocks and getting my money back for the Bilsteins. But I stayed with the Bilsteins and they are a much better ride.
Also once we removed the old springs from my 97 and compared them with the 06's the front springs were 1.25" longer while the rear was the same height and had the exact tags as the old springs.
So it looks like the Rubicon rear springs are the same as a regular TJ.
After the lift though maybe because the spings are newer I did gain about a 1/2 an inch in the rear.
While the front was 1 1/8 taller in the front, so it got a slight lift and leveled out the Jeep.
So my next thing will be adding an adjustable front track bar from JKS and Currie HD tie rod and drag links.
Then when I need new tires I will add 4" springs, long travel shocks and then start messing with the arm's.
