Topic: New console

Hey guys, just got my new console in the mail.  I currently have the crappy 1 cup holder stock junk in there now but I want to install my armrest/storage part for the back. Does anyone know if there are holes pre drilled threaded so I can just put the bolts/screws in through the carpet, or do I have to drill them myself?  Also any tips on installing the new console would be greatly appriciated.

The front holes should match up the 2 rear holes in the rear cupholders on the arm rest part of the conslole might be there or need to be drilled on mine (2006) the holes where there just had to take the plugs out, but did not have any nut serts or so. I just used bolts and nuts for the rear part. If the subwoofer is in it find the wiring diagram its not the greatest but sounfds a lot better than without

Alright, thanks aw again for the front part of the console.  You've been a great help in that apsect and giving advice on installing it.  I will try today and tell you guys if I run into any problems.  Yay now I have 4 cup holders and an armrest.

Alright so I have a few problems which I will adress for the future people out there who are trying to do this on their wrangler.  First the front where the origional console slips in does not slip in on the 05 console AW sent me.  (Not to rag on AW in any way, in fact I'm greatful he sent it to me)
This console is from a 05 wrangler which was printed on the inside of the front piece, which I'm hoping that it was in fact from an 05.  Anyway what I have done is drilled a hole in the left front pocket into the floor then put a bolt in there to hold it in place at the far front. Then the bolt that holds the console to the shifter by the shit assembly itself to the right, I took a piece of steel and bolted it to the origional part which does not line up anylonger.  Then the bolt that goes into the 2 front cup holders is not long enough. (as if anything else could go wrong, but it does) Then the back 2 bolt holes do not have any holes predrilled for the bo-yah!, so I had to drill holes in for the back also.  I have taken pics but havent uploaded them yet so I will make sure to do that tomorrow or the next day.  Advice: Read this thread before you decide to add a console to your 00 wrangler without one because its a pain in the bo-yah! ass.

Also forgot to mention that the shift boot from the 00 to 05 changed in size.  Apparently the 05's is bigger.  I also just used self tapping sheet metal screws for the back 2 passanger cup holders.  Upon further investigation, I took out the bolt in the front little spot because the piece of metal I used to attach the console by the shifter held up very well.  I hope this helps others who are going to add this console, It's a great investment.
