High Lift Mount
« on: April 19, 2009, 01:45:03 PM »
Another project of the to-do list!  I went with the Fence Post technique, and I am happy with how it came out...  Here are the pics (sorry about the low quality; again, used my phone for this!):

That looks very nice. That's exactly what I want to do when I get my high lift.

That's the Jeep way; you scratch one item from the list, and suddenly 3 more are added!  :blbl:

Looks good.  Could you post a picture of how it attaches on the base side?

Thanks

Just glad its warming up in chicago. sorry to sidetrack thread. Yea pics of base would be nice. Thats the part that attaches fencepost to chainlink correct?

I'll take a quick picture once I get back home (this weekend)...  But basically I copied of this one:

What you will need is a 2" EMT conduit clamp and a 2" tension band (make sure you smooth them out t avoid ripping the padding on the bar!); I used one like this for the base (obviously the size is wrong, but you get the idea):

And one like this for the top (I used a long stud with a lock nut to tighten it to the rollbar, then put a washer on eiter side of the highlift, then a winged nut o hold the high lift in place):

Bought everything at Home Depot for under $10 (the list included the two clamps, all bolts, washers, lock nuts and winged nuts).  I also used sray un bed liner to paint them black so they would not stick out like a sore thumb inside the cab!

Thanks for the pictures.  It looks like the jack can fit differently depending on the type of base because the red jack seems to fit differently on the driver side.

There's a few ways to do it. I used 2 1/2" exhaust clamps and a short section of garage door track. Put a hole in the track for a padlock to lock it. It's all powder coated black now.

I like what you've done.  I've got to figure out what to do with my 60"er :wall:  I'm thinking maybe a diagonal
