Front axle is leaking.

This is what I got from NAPA.  Now my local dealer is not listing an outer axle seal.  I saw a lot of posts about this and couldn't resurrect any of them. So I reposted.

Is the seal partial metal and rubber?

Driver side is now, but the pass side did awhile ago and stopped.

THat's what I am running; I have had them for about a year, and there are no leaks, but the color fades rather fast, though...

To th OP, there are several write ups out there. Yes the seal is rubber with an aluminum? outer ring.

At least the driver's side seal is the easy one.
