Queens, New York Jeep Mechanic Needed
« on: June 02, 2009, 09:26:24 AM »
Still can't find the electrical issue that is prohibiting jeep to start.  Replaced: Ignition Mod, Coil, wires, disty, rotor, crank pos sensor, confirmed no issue with fuel pump/filter.  No auto shutoff relay in an '89.

Was given a mechanic's shop to take jeep too, but wanted to make sure first that there wasn't a mechanic (jeep specialist)  in/near Queens, NY that someone on this board has used.

Thanks

So the issue with the Jeep was the harness the relay's were in.

4 hours labor...eesh...at least she's running again!

Do Not take your JEEP to MAJOR on northern blvd. Those guys don't know what the hell they are doing.
If you hear of any JEEP specialist shops in or around queens. Hell even Jersey please let me know. I will do the same for you as well.

I brought the Jeep to On Target (right under the Aurberndale LIRR station).  They did a great job, and explained all that was wrong.
