33's vs. 35's

I'm running 33's now on my 95 YJ with 4:10's (aussie D30,8.8LS).  I'm OK with the driveability now, in S FL we dont have hills and only have mud, no rocks.  Its not my DD but I do drive it around town frequently.  I was looking at the 35 inch KM2's.  I really would prefer not to regear because I want to leave my options open from an engine swap, possibly V8, in the future if my 4 banger ever dies.
Is there anyone running this setup?  Do you guys think I would see a big difference?
I plan this summer to make a couple of trips to the Southeasts ORPs so durability is a concern, too. I think the 8.8 should be fine but worry about the D30, although it does have the 760 Ujoints.
Any input/opinions appreciated! :beers:

You could always just re-gear and stick with something no lower than 4:56's, then you'd have some extra umph to turn the 35's, and it'd be great gearing for a V8 or even an I6 swap. IMO the D30 should hold up fine, mine's bone stock (but due to be gone through...) and I've driven it all over CA, Nevada and Oregon without issue  :smokes:

I guess it all depends on what's acceptable to you...  I live in Miami, and for me, 31's and 4.10 was already a bit of a stretch (I could not hold 65 mph with head winds or on overpasses on 5th).  Thus, I regeared to 4.88 for my soon-to-come 33" KM2's.

I got 35's with 4.10 gears and a 44 rear and 30 front and i can hold about 55.  I just use mine mainly for wheeling an just driving around town on nice days.  It seems to do fine around town, I don't think it would work to well on the interstate any more though
