http://www.bcbroncos.com/tools.html

This is where I got my reamer from. I have the pro model. Looks like the price has gone up a bit since I bought mine. It does not list a price on the economy one. But the nice thing about them is they fit into a 1/2 inch drill chuck.

update...got my tre's at orielleys. was $80plus tax. which is considerably cheaper than most sites that sell whole kit. My advice to by check price on links sep and pick up tre's on your own

the whole reason i chose this setup is if i break a tre or they wear out i can get replacements at local auto parts store. so price so far on my 1ton steering project is about $150

I think I have about $300 into mine, but $100 of that was the reamer. I got my TRE's from NAPA, IIRC they were aroudn $130 for the set of 4.
You make good points about the ease of finding replacement parts. I carry some spares with me since no one else I run with uses them. If you get a spare make sure you get the one that goes on the passanger knucle. It needs to have the hole reamed so the DL will go in there. Plus since that is a fairly long TRE plus the hole in the middle, it has been known to bend.
