I don't think there is one 2" body lift I'd recommend.  They're all about the same.  Personally, I'd rather see a 1" suspension and 1" body lift then a 2" body lift.

I have a 2.5 shackle lift, but I was thinkin I needed a 2" body lift to get the space for 33's my 2.5 lift wont be enough. I've trimmed my flares up 1.5" already and my flex is just perfect with my current 31 BFG MTs. But as soon as these tires are shot I am putting 33s on.

2.5" shackle lift?  I hope you mean that they are 2.5" longer than stock (1.25" lift)   What is your intended purpose for the jeep - if it's any offroading ability at all then dump the shackle lift, forget about the body lift and install a half decent lift kit.

2.5" lift shackles?  So the shackles are 12" long?  Or are you saying they are 1.25" lift in which case they are only 8" long.

In any case, you're really edging up to needing an actual suspension lift of some kind.  2.5" lift with the TJ flares should get you there.

The problem I see is that your leafs are probably inverted some so they aren't even flat anymore.  This means you're starting with less lift then stock and the shackles aren't helping the leafs any.  Not to mention your changing the caster on the front axle by rotating it.  It's also probably throwing off the pinion angle on the front and rear axles.

With a body lift that tall, you're going to have to stretch all of the fuel lines and extend the steering shaft.  You will also want to extend the shifters as they are now 2" lower then they once were.  At least with a new body lift, you'll be replacing all of the old bolts which are probably rusted and eaten away.  Problem is you need to get them off and not break them off.  Also, if your body mounts aren't in the greatest shape, the body lift could cause the sheet metal to tear.

If it were me, I'd go with a OME 2.5" suspension lift which will give you 3".  Add that to the TJ flares you alreay have and you should be good.  Costs more but then you're getting a better setup.

I wouldn't go over 1.25 on the body lift. Then start trimming sheetmetal.
If you have a YJ the TJ flares are a great mod. If you have a TJ you can trim a bit of sheetmetal and still use the stock flares.

I recently spent a couple days under my YJ repairing the damage done to the body mounts from a 1" body lift, Took it out...
A local shop that build a lot of lifted jeeps up here refuses to install them for this reason. It really weakens the mounts when you add the body lift. (94 YJ)

Yea, and mine was a AL 1" body lift. Since I removed it , I find the darn thing is way quieter and drives way better...

I'm thinking a fender trim is worth WAY more than a body lift... :)

And the funny thing is that putting a body lift in can take forever on a YJ.  It may be cheap, but not usually easy since everything is rusted solid or snaps off when you put a wrench on it.
