The other ones are $50 more!!

The 2-speed one should work great, right??  What would be the advantage of the more expensive ones??  Start-up??

Less draw on start-up and it only spins the fan as fast as needed to stay cool, so no wasted draw ever.

I'm probably going to go with a computer controlled unit as the shutter from having the fan kick in and the alternator spool caused vibrations which caused the monolith inside the cat to break apart.   :brick:

Yes, it was the fan/alternator.  It really shakes when it turns on and it beats on the exhaust.  I had no problem when I was running the fan 24/7.  My Jeep doesn't eat cats.  I'm on #3 as I thought #2 was bad but it turned out to be the muffler.

I have noticed that if the tail pipe can rattle against anything it seems to trash the cat in a hurry.

My random tech cat has outlasted the other stock style ones by a lot so far....

Yeah, which is a problem since there is a dampener at the front of the cat.  When I replace the cat in the summer I'll probably order a DCC box as well.  I would probably get around it by removing the dampener but then I might run into another problem.  So a variable controller is probably the better way to go.

Order now if you want the DCC controller by summer ;)

Well worth the wait, but I hope he's updated the lead time on his website.
