 Check out last weekend's edition of "Trucks", they made an AMS for about $15 with Radio Shack parts!! Would probably need a gauge to view results of adjustments!

but i would strongly suggest using a voltage clamp on the output or to preset it with the engine off and monitor the output.

There have been a few occasions where someone made their own to save a few and ended up having to buy a new PCM.

that's why you need to limit the output to 5v max

EDIT: although i read it can handle up to 5.2 or something like that but it's a risk.
