I know this is probly the most asked question on Jeep forums, but I'm skunked.
I've got a vibration between 50-60 mph that I thought I had licked 2 years ago.
Definatly drive train not steering and has been getting worse the last 6 months.
I've got CV D.S.'s front and rear and are set up with correct angles.
Drive shafts seem to be in good shape.
I have not changed anything on this Jeep in the last 2 years,
but the vibes seem to be getting worse.
OEM motor mounts are about 2 years old.
About 150k on original Trans. and Transfer Case.
No abnormal noises coming from anything.
Is there something wearing out ?

Remove the front driveshaft and then drive it around.  If it's still there, remove the rear driveshaft and drive in 4wd and see if it's still there.  If nothing changes then check the tires.  Rotate them and see if the vibrations change any.  Check your wheel bearings and axle bearings for play...

if d/shafts are good my bet is on a tire unbalanced

also, you could always suspend the rear on jackstands and put it in gear and look at the d/s and tires and see if any of them rotate off center.

I'm guessing the tires, have you had them rebalanced lately and the roadforce checked?

I think i've narrowed it down to shocks or tires.
Had the tires rebalanced, axle and wheel bearings in good shape.
Removed D.S.s one at a time still had the vibration.
Out of desperation I put each axle up on jack stands, one at a time,
and ran them up to 60 mph. Even loaded them with the brakes.
No vibration, very smooth.
So I know its not a balance, drive shaft, drivetrain problem,
but I did notice the tires were not very round. (concentric)
And my wheels have alot of weight on them from balancing.
Has this been a problem with the old style BFG MT's?

Tarheels 4X4 here in Charlotte won't even sell BFG's because of balance issues. I had a heck of a time getting mine right.

Of the BFG's I have owned I have not had any issues. Infact the KM2's hardly took any weight. The heaviest was .75 oz. Not to shabby for a 35.

I have 35" BFG TA KO's and they balanced very well.  No vibs and can run 80+mph
smooth and vibe free.  My guess is the tire balancing.  I once had a similar problem
and it turned out to be a bad rim.  When I finally found the problem, I rotated to to
my spare tire.

Well I had them rebalanced and I think if had a balance problem
it would of shown up on the jack stands. (maybe?)
The rims looked true but the tires did not.
I will try a swap with my trailer tires and see what happens.

it's a balancer that can actually put load on the tire and measure for out of round tires. it adds simulated "road force" hints why they called it that.
you may pay a bit more but could find the bad tire for ya.

good luck with the prob. check mounts or drive line angle. if a axle is shifting to the side under load it will cause vibrations also.
