Soft top question
« on: June 14, 2010, 09:57:38 AM »
I have a 92 YJ, with half doors, and running a TJ roll bar. I am very interested in this top. http://www.californiatops.com/yjfull.html
But im not sure if i will have issues running a different roll bar. Anyone have experience with this set up?

I can say that my factory yj hardware wont fold down. It hits the rear upper bend of the roll bars. Not a major problem. Just something worth mentioning. You cant fold your top back with out a slight mod to the hardware.

I'm also interested in that top.  No bows to bend hitting obstacles is the main advantage for me.  It looks like it should be pretty adaptable to non-stock roll bars.

It does not look like it would work well if you added a crossbar like this.

I'd think it would work fine with the cross bar.  I don't know if it will work with a TJ cage in a YJ though.
