gauge fuse blowing

95 Rio Grande.  The fuse for the gauges is blowing.  I hate tracking shorts.   Anybody have an idea?

unplug the gauge cluster connector and see if it still blows - if it doesn't then it's a problem in your gauge cluster, if it does then there's some short somewhere else but let's start by checking the cluster first.

Back up switch on the transmission.  Easy fix as long as it's light out.
