Would a 4.0 liter cold air intake fit on a 2.5 liter ?

Family, hope every body is doing just great.

I got a quick question, would this air intake fit on my 2000 jeep tj 2.5

I don't think you can without modifications.  The TB locations is slightly different, IIRC.

you can probably make it work, however like he^ said the position of the t/b on the 4.0 is closer to the rad/grill, so a longer coupler or some fiddling with the pipe routing might be necessary

what would be interesting is what actual system are you getting, from the link you poster there is a picture with just a pipe and a filter and i think that is ridiculous at $212, but if you click on one of the thumbnails there is a Rubi with a really nice airbox, which would actually be more reasonable at that price.

- actually i just looked again and the ones with an airbox are $287 amd $328 (probably based on the type of filter), forget it - not worth paying $212 for a plastic pipe with a filter at the end (so no screen and therefore not really cold air but hot air from under the hood).

Apollo K&N is better and cheaper if you want to go that route at some point.

also for a little bit more you can go with a snorkel (that is true cold air) and a fram airhog or K&N filter in the stock airbox.

Depending on where you live you might want to stick with the paper.  Performance-wise, the paper isn't going to make more HP but filtering-wise, it's usually better then the K&N.  Although if you don't live where there is fine dust particles then it shouldn't be a problem.  Most of the guy's I know who run in the semi-arid plains have either stopped using K&N's or use a pre-filter.

And as Sharp said m from Calgary and dirt isnt a big of a problem here, so i figure it should be fine to use k&n
but just to be on the safe side m am goin to get k&n oil filter as well that is better in keeping dirt particles out of engine than regular oil filters (i just read about it, dont know if thats true)

My Fram Airhog has done a pretty good job holding the dirt out so far...  Even in the dusty conditions we drive in!
